As it turns out, the executives were asking a question of their own: When will the Mexican luxury market be ready for a big new player such as Lexus to chase a limited number of luxury car buyers?

Who in their right mind wants a high end car in Mexico to draw the attention of gang bangers and kidnappers? Hell if you have money what are you still doing in Mexico for that matter with all the gang wars and crime?

Characterizing Mexicans as gang bangers and kidnappers is racist. I'm glad you conceded the point.

Listen to the kettle calling the pot black or is that racist too? So confusing these PC, 72 sexual UN gender days...

I never once labelled all Mexicans gangbangers and kidnappers but a high enough portion are that it is a serious epidemic and enough bad apples do spoil the bunch. Nice bait and switch though!

They don’t buy luxury cars, they steal them in the U.S. and smuggle them across the boarder.

Mexico doesn't need Lexus, they are in urgent need of the 70 series land cruiser. it will make it look more like a country in war plus those 70 series are super capable and reliable. Will outsell big three truckas quickly.

El Chappo is locked up. Who are they going to sell this to. The Mexicans come here legally and illegally.
Lexus, set up shop in Sancuary Cities. No need to go to Mexico

Even more reason to build a wall. Stop Lexus from crossing the boarder.
