RUMOR: 5x F1 Champion, Lewis Hamilton, MAY Be Eyeing A Move To Ferrari

Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes have discussed the possibility of the five times Formula One champion one day racing for Ferrari and such a move would be no drama, team boss Toto Wolff has said.

Hamilton, 34, has a contract with Mercedes until the end of 2020, by which time he could have equaled Ferrari great Michael Schumacher’s unprecedented seven titles and broken other records.

Hamilton is a great talent and if he could restore Ferrari to the top of the podium his already lofty place in F1 history would be elevated to god like status. Italy would go nuts. Having said that, pitting Ferrari against Mercedes for your services is classic Rod Tidwell...

What to do. You have already been world champ 5X. You risk your life every time you step into the car. He must pull in $30M a year or so. At some point you have to make the call or wether to get out alive in one piece or keep racing.

Your comments remind me of Tazio Nuvolari. A reporter once asked him "With so many racing drivers dying on track aren't you afraid to get into the car?" Tazio responded by asking the reporter "How do you want to die?" The reporter said "Peacefully in my sleep."
