797 Horsepower Wide Bodied Dodge Charger On The Way To A Dealer Near You?
The Dodge Charger Widebody Concept will allegedly spawn a production version packing 797 horsepower (594 kilowatts), according to Motor Trend's Jonny Lieberman without citing any specific sources for the news. He speculates a possible debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November.

The Dodge Charger Widebody Concept (see gallery below) debuted at the SoCal LX Spring Fest in March. As the name implied, the model featured wider fenders, in addition to a revised front end with larger inlets in the fascia. The rear had a large trunk lip spoiler and small openings behind the rear wheels. The sedan had black wheels with five sets of dual spokes.

Mopar should retro style the 1968 Charger like they did for SIMA. Drop in the 1000hp Hellephant 426 and make it all street legal for sale at your local MOPAR Dealer.... But they won't

How old is this platform? I believe MB started development on W210 chassis in the early 1990s. The Charger was launched in 2005.
Nearly 800 hp does not make any more appealing.

The platform is too old. Meanwhile, that turd the Giulia gets a new platform but the Challenger and Charger aren't allowed to use it.

Imagine what these guys could do if they had the cash resources to create their vision of up to date performance cars. You have to admire how much they have done with so little.

I have never liked the look of the Charger. It bears very little resemblance to the original car. I get it is for families but it could be anything.

It originally was to be called Intrepid and at the last hour they called it Charger. It's gotten less ugly with the restylings but evoking the 68 Charger more would be (1) far better and (2) easy to do. The shape would work on a coupesedan. I considered getting a Hemi Charger after the Giulia debacle, but the Telluride became available and i am loving it. I like the Charger a lot but I don't love it enough to own one.
