BMW M Boss Confirms The First Electrified Performance Car Is In The Pipeline
Markus Flasch, chairman of BMW's sporting M division, reportedly confirmed in Australia last week that the marque's first electrified performance car "is not too far in the distance."

There are so many BMW M variants now it hardly matters. I would still kick this forward 5-10 years. Keep the top M models pure and as close to motorsports as possible.

"M" is a trim level not a brand.

Eventually - there will be a return to the Emissions and Gas Mileage standards of the Republican Conservative EPA - which means that there will be more Hybrids on the road - hopefully without the CVTs.

However -after all of the waiting for "OTHER" brands - to actually produce what they claim - Predicting the future in what is basically a completely open ended fashion is meaningless. Sometime in the future something will happen. See - I can be specific too!

Watch when Telsa or a other non-korean car comes out with this later no onenwont say they copied BMW. But when Hyundai will it would be accused of copying.

Tesla has had performance EVs for the past 10 years, their version of the M line is just called "Performance".
