EXTREME RAM MAKEOVER: Video Gives Us Just A TASTE Of What A Hellcat-swapped RAM 1500 Rebel Is Like
Over the past several years, there's been quite a buzz in the RAM community. There's good reason for this. That's because everyone saw the debut of the RAM TRX pick-up truck concept and has been wondering "OK, so, when do I get mine," ever since.

Considering you can buy a Hellcat crate engine, why not?

Well, one enthusiast made their move before FCA could deliver the goods. Although one would think it's just a simple as dropping the motor in, it's actually much more complex than that. See the description below:

...While the supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 looks at home in the engine bay of the 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel, it wasn’t a simple task. Electrical, cooling and tuning all played important roles in bringing the HELLCAT to live in the DT-platform truck to life. Things such as relocating the oil filter, altering a bracket on the frame to clear the alternator, and a few other things took a bit of innovation. The truck also features a completely upgraded fuel system to push fuel to the massive HEMI up front. The truck’s cab also had to come off the frame, to get the HELLCAT motor in the engine bay without taking the 2.3-liter IHI supercharger off the top...

All that said, the end result looks like it paid off. Just see what this RAM is capable of now with its all-new grunt.

FCA should have built these in limited numbers as they would all have sold out quickly Im sure but that much HP needs to be fed to all four feet

They should build as many as they can sell.

Money printing machine... what’s the delay?

Here are three more money printing machines that could resurrect dead sales:

Hemi Giulia and yes call it that $45K
Hemi Ghibli $60K
Hellcat Quattroporte $75K

The Hemi will bolt into a Ghibli no problem but the hood would need to be modded. I know that from experience.

Did you drop a Hemi into a Ghibli by chance? That would definitely improve the reliability issue...

Also what about a Hellcat Grand Cherokee -AMG who?

I did.

The Ghibli and the Chrysler 300 (Charger/Challenger) are all LX despite all the bullsh!t that is out there about the Maseratis being "totally different". They aren't.

My father-in-law had a Ghibli for two years (reliability wasn't bad actually) and then got a new car. He gave me the Ghibli. We had a low mileage Hemi 300 in the body shop that had been hit from behind and we were waiting for it to be totaled. When it was, I bought it for the engine.

The conversion was nearly bolt in. We had to cut the hood and do some fabbing so it would close, but when we were done, we had a Hemi Ghibli. It was wonderful. Someone saw it, wanted it, so I sold it for fat profit.

There is a history of Italian exotics with American engines. If Maserati made a Hemi Ghibli the base Ghibli, sales of Ghiblis would likely improve several fold.

@MD-How did a Hemi fit into the engine bay of a Ghibli when it is basically a 3-series sized car? Shoe horn?

@MD- My bad. I was thinking the Alfa Giulia platform. As before you are never shy about flipping a car for profit. :)

The Giulia would take a V8. The Giorgio is largely a zombiefied LX. The Giulia isn't small. If memory serves, C Class dabbles with V8s. I don't know why you're so perplexed and dumbfounded.

Very few cars matter much to me if a profit can be had. Some are going nowhere (the Interceptor, the 68 GT500KR, the 67 427 Stingray, the 68 Hemi Charger, the TVRs). A chain of events brought me to the ear of two men who were given a car collection over time--to avoid inheritance tax--and that collection duplicated much of their own, so I helped them sell off most of that collection and then reinvest it. The second man developed a terminal illness, so another car transfer happened before he died, and most of that collection was sold off and the proceeds invested. The last man is my surrogate grandfather figure and he is just plain old so he's been transferring some cars to me and some we are disposing of. Some rather tasty morsels there. I already manage his affairs so he can enjoy life and play.
