BYOTP? Employees Rough It After Tesla Eliminates Toilet Paper In Office Place
Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently launched a new ‘hardcore’ cost-cutting effort to bring the automaker back to profitability and we are starting to learn more about what the plan actually consists of – hint: no more toilet paper.

In an email to employees last week, Musk said that he is implementing a new cost-cutting initiative that will see all the teams examine every payment, including “parts, salary, travel expenses, and rent.”

The CEO added that Zach Kirkhorn, Tesla’s new CFO, will review and sign every page of outgoing payment while Musk himself will review and sign every tenth page.

Pulling toilet paper funding is typical for a maturing business.

No different than all of China (except Hong Kong). Most restrooms have no toilet paper, paper towels or soap so I always bring my own. I always joke to my friends that I'm moving to China to get into 2 new businesses 1) Car horn repair and 2) Soap distribution as it's virgin territory!

Yeah...Tesla is definitely a 'real' company with strong future growth prospects.

Company's who want to cut costs will always publicize that things are so bad that they are stopping supplying toilet paper to the rest rooms in the office.

If you are someone who has a deposit outstanding, now would be a good time to get it back!

There is a prominent bank where the CEO is actually spending his time manually approving new unbudgeted consulting spend. Extremely odd for a guy making millions of dollars a year leading 90k-100k employees, but it's true. As your Mom told you, common sense isn't all that common...

OSHA regulations REQUIRE an adequate supply of Toilet Tissue as well as Hand soap AND either Hand Towels or an electric Hand dryer - as well as regular maintenance and cleaning of the interior space. THey even have regulation on how many facilities are required per employees.

This item is not only stupid - it is ILLEGAL, in EVERY state.

Gotta give credit to Elon Musk for making Tesla still matters. From smoking weed to making flame thrower and now this, he is just getting free advertising in today’s social media, regardless of good or bad PR...

Can anyone tell me how’s Elio doing without googling it?

Reality is these small startups in the automotive industry is impossible without a major financial backing so it can have enough resources for real R&D. Don’t let the consumers to be the guinea pigs...
