Nissan To Pull Infiniti HQ Back To Japan From China
Infiniti is rejoining the Nissan mothership by moving its headquarters back to Japan.

The Japanese premium brand will relocate its head office from Hong Kong to Yokohama in the middle of next year in a push to centralize and streamline operations, the company said.

The announcement on Wednesday comes seven years after Infiniti set up shop in Hong Kong in a bid to establish itself as an international brand and build inroads into the mammoth Chinese market.

Interesting timing. Trump just left Japan and had good talks with their leader and is fighting with China over their unfair trade practices. Seems like Japan is still a good ally to the US!

Yeah - he is more often playing golf somewhere else.

THe combination of Renault with Nissan and Mitsubishi - and Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Chrysler - Fiat, Alfa, Maserati - Abarth - and Lancia will simply produce TOO many Brands - most of which have poor reliability - and only sell well in their home country (Except Jeep and Nissan).

The alcoholic simply cannot see synergies and consolidations that would make a juggernaut of a company.

Obviously YOU have personal experience - which explains a lot - I would not know - I do not drink alcohol.

ANd YET - you are correct - the synergies and consolidations COULD indeed create a real Juggernaut - they could literally be the instant market leader in unreliable cars. What an Advantage - the rest of us could simply avoid their cars altogether to ensure getting a better car than average.
