VIDEO: Ford Dealer Behaving BADLY? You Won't BELIEVE How Much They're Allegedly Asking OVER For The 2020 GT500...
When it comes to supply and demand, car dealers aren't exactly known to being too kind. But if you've been a long-time buyer at a store or if you go out of state, there's a good chance that they won't be aggressive in slapping you with a mark up. Even better, sometimes there's no mark up at all.

Turns out a Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R owner stopped by a dealer to inquire about the 2020 GT500. This is where things get a bit ugly. According to the vlogger, the salesperson made some rather harsh comments and said unless they're willing to pony up a $40,000 mark up, there's the door.

Now, in defense of the dealer and greater dealer community, we don't know the full story. Is this the guy's dealer he and his family has purchased from previously? Is this just some shenanigans to get clicks?

Previously, we've seen some outrageous mark ups for specific, in-demand vehicles. Remember when the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat first arrived?

It seems like we're entering the Twilight Zone, again.

Today I decided to stop by another Ford Dealership in Southern California in order to attempt to work with a dealer when it comes to buying a 2020 Shelby Mustang GT500. Unfortunately things turned out for the worse...

Why do these articles always have a negative connotation on the dealer. No one is forcing anybody to buy a GT500. If the demand is there and someone is willing to pay a premium, more power to the dealership.

No dealers is putting a gun to any buyers head forcing them to buy.

Everyone should took their money and go elsewhere. To hell with the pirate Ford dealers.

There are reasons that a manufacturer cannot sell directly.

#1 He SAYS the dealer said $40K over.

#2 This has manufactured drama all over it.

#3 If that were my dealer and he did that, my attorneys would be all over his ass. His life would be unpleasant fast.

#4 If this is legit and he were to report it to Ford, all hell would break loose even though Ford cannot control the dealer price. They have other things they can do to make you wish you had not been a douche.

#5 We aren't taking deposits on the GT500 yet. We take a deposit when we have an actual car with an actual vin in the pipeline that is either coming to us via allotment or one that we can configure. We typically ask for a significant portion down. We have a list of names who are interested, but no deposits for real cars.

#6 We routinely sell our GT350s at list price to "our" people (i.e. regular customers who buy big ticket models), but we won't waste time on joy riders. We can honestly say that the car is spoken for. If one of our regulars refers someone, then we offer our special price of list amount to that individual too.

#7 Ford DOES follow up on the transaction prices and satisfaction a customer has when the product is an "abused" product i.e. one likely to cause gouging.

#8 This fcuker is more annoying to listen to than Doug De Moron.

Today was a glorious mess. The major internet provider for the area lost all service for 9 hours.
