True To The Left: UAW Starts Mud Slinging Before VW Vote

The UAW and Volkswagen Group are disputing whether the automaker is maintaining its neutrality on the eve of a second union-affiliation vote at its assembly plant in Chattanooga.

UAW spokesman Brian Rothenberg told Automotive News on Tuesday that "VW has been holding multiple mandatory meetings with workers where they are pushing out anti-union materials."

The union's claim comes just one day before about 1,700 trade workers and production workers are scheduled to vote on affiliating with the UAW. The dates of the election were confirmed by the German automaker and UAW in May after the union petitioned the National Labor Relations Board to set the dates.

Interesting how none of the Korean or MB/BMW, or anyother plants have any interest in the UAW because its a cancer. GM is probably trying to kill the UAW by moving to Mexico and I suppose if thats all it can do it should probably do it. THe UAW nearly killed all 3 American Mfr's but all the others are thriving without them... VW employees STAY AWAY from this disease...

Can we lose the political comments in the article titles at least? I know they're going to appear in the comments, but please try to keep the site itself non-political.

Except that tRump has actual mafia ties and acts like a gangster. He called Biden a dummy while standing next to the Japanese ambassador. Never in the history of our nation has someone acted so beneath the office. Two recent pools show him losing in a landslide to Biden - this while the economy os booming!

Also, castigate unions all you want - they got too powerful - but the US in the only country in the top 20 economies without healthcare nor pensions AND we work more hours per year than citizens of any other country. MAGA. Sad.

You have not facts to back this up - probably heard it from Hannity's ugly mug.

tRump has had associations with the mafia in NY and used many of the same lawyers. He sounds more like a low-level thug when he talks rather than the leader of a country.

Why is there an uproar? I thought VW wanted the UAW to control them.

The UAW and management need to change and a good model to follow would be the German car unions IMHO. They are integral to innovation on the production line, in quality control and many other areas. They also get paid well while being able to sell competitive lower cost models such as some of the VW models. Being paid well they can buy more and enhance the economy and the overall well being of the country. My 2 cents...
