REVIEW: A car so good you could live in it?

no thanks , i would consider a VW rabbit, mazda 3 , honda civic, even toyota corolla way before i will buy a sentra. just my 2 cent

all gimmicks and sales pitch ,

it has everything wht vw stopped using
Torsion beam , rear drum even for top model
and it has maxima's uglyness w/o a VQ.

if i had to live in a car it would be big, like the aspen or escalade or something

The smallest car that would be liveable in would atleast need to be a wagon (a small one like the Volvo V50 or Mazda 3 would be the smallest) or a small suv (Scion xB???). But a regular sedan is just too small.

this could start to be an interesting topic: which car would you live in?

it would have to have fold flat or removable seats, so me thinks either a chrysler grand voyager or a renault espace.
espace for me, you can get a giant panoramic sunroof.

I would choose the one of the largest vehicles on the market, either a Dodge Sprinter Ext or a Ford E-Series.

I would take a used Ford Excursion and furnish it to look like a luxury living room.

The only problem?

$100 every week at the pump. That amounts to $350-400/mo in gas only, assuming the car is already paid off.

Ah, just give me a Toyota Highlander Hybrid... as long as I don't have to drive it.

I don't care about the gas mileage in my S4, is really what I meant. I can afford to pay $40 every two weeks or so.

But about $100 every week in a Ford Excursion is too much, even for me.

It just got last place in a comparison.

i read that review, and that corolla is absolutely nothing like ours. i mean COMPLETELY different. the interior, exterior, everything.
and these cars are bloody fast. 8.3 in a sentra, 7.9 in a corolla!? those are fast cars, 9-12 is more the norm here.
and no anti-locks on the corolla? that's illegal here.
why do these cars all have big trunks added on the end, bar the golf? that is a very unfashionable style here.
ah well, they picked the rabbit (what a weird name, why?). clearly the best car, although in the uk, the civic hatch would be second, c4 3rd, a focus 4th, astra 5th, megane 6th.
one thing though, i want the performance of these cars at your prices. 7.4 seconds for the mazda? so quick.

LOL! And we still think these cars are buckets.

The norm for a car here is probably about 7.0, maybe a little over seven seconds.

Our Corolla is still worse than yours... I've seen yours in CAR magazine. Almost stylish. Ours is relentlessly bland. Give me a Rabbit, Civic or 3.

interestingly i have just been to norfolk, and there are loads of US airforce bases there, so i have seen a ton of US cars. a honda oddessy, toytoa sequoia (i think, SUV type thingy), chevrolet silverado (giant pick-up, dwarfed a mini-bus), various SUVs, american honda cr-v, lots of things. the pick-ups look exceptionally stupid in britain.
