Tesla On Track To A New Sales Record, Delivering 1,000 Cars A Day

Tesla is trying to achieve record deliveries this quarter and it is counting on the North American market to do it with quick deliveries by the end of the month.

Electrek has learned that Tesla is currently delivering cars at a rate of approximately 1,000 a day.

In recent weeks, CEO Elon Musk signaled that Tesla is within reach of a new record quarter for deliveries, but they have some obstacles to overcome.

As we reported earlier this month, Tesla aims to deliver between 33,000 and 36,000 vehicles in June in North America to break its delivery record.

In the pantheon of beautiful cars, Tesla need not apply. I get it than you are paid to pleasure the Tesla "member" as a troll, but come on!

I am sure that there are several other manufacturers models that are setting or trying to set records for their "deliveries" in the USA

Why is it in the middle of a month - for NO apparent reason other than pure advertising - we constantly get stories about ONE manufacturer only?

When you are going to come up with EQUAL and FAIR coverage of the industry - or admit that YOU are being paid for this nonsense - and we can assume it is the latter unless something changes.

Tesla pays for no advertising at all. Tesla is getting coverage as 1.) no other car company is innovating or growing as fast as them and 2.) they are very controversial and polarizing, great for clicks/readership

Obviously we are all highly engaged in posting here and fighting for our perspective. I don't see so many comments on an article about the newest Fiat.

As far as I know, $0 have been paid for ads of any kind, ever. Heck, when I first bought a Model S, there were owners in the Tesla store offering free rides in their early vin cars because no test-drive units were available.

In the last 2 weeks of the quarter, the Silicon Valley Tesla Owner Club is apparently buying donuts and bringing them to new owners at delivery centers and volunteering their time to help new owners learn how to use all the features of the car. What other car company has fans like this?

On a Tesla enthusiast scale from 1-10, I'm probably an 8. Never underestimate the power of a happy consumer.

Haven't heard of them, but it looks like they make/made exotics. Pretty nice looking cars, but I should have said mainstream brand.

He's suing Musk, not Tesla - for $75,000. Elon will be crushed financially if he loses.

I finally test drove a model 3 performance this week and was mightily impressed. They are not only ahead in battery/motor technology, they are leagues ahead in electronics. I am normally a button knob guys so I don't have to take my eyes off the road when changing things but the big iPad was not as bad as I thought it would be (although they should put a HUD in it). In addition the acceleration is addictive, the suspension and steering and darn well judged, with the suspension being very similar to my old BMW e39 M5. I want one!

Panasonic makes the cells using Tesla-proprietary chemistry. Tesla makes the modules and the pack (cells go into modules, modules go into the pack along with other electronics like the inverter).

Tesla makes all the motors in-house in a process that is pretty much fully automated for the core motor in the Model 3 (which is also now the front motor in the S/X). As many reports and teardowns have shown, the core motor is faster, lighter, and less expensive to build than any other car motor tested.

Jazzyjazz needed to show that he is clueless.

Yes, they make their own motors, including some nice „tricks“ nobody else thought of.
Ahead in electronics, by a wide margin.
Ask Audi or Jaguar, how easy it is to copy the stuff Tesla did years ago.
