VW's Chattanooga Workforce DOWNS Union Representation In Latest Vote
Workers at Volkswagen AG’s assembly plant in the state of Tennessee narrowly voted against union representation, dealing a fresh blow to the United Auto Workers’ (UAW) efforts to unionize a foreign automaker’s plant in the US South.

The German automaker and the UAW said on Friday that workers at the Chattanooga plant voted 833 to 776 against union representation, the second time in five years they have rejected collective bargaining.

“Our employees have spoken,” Frank Fischer, president of Volkswagen Chattanooga, said in a statement. “Pending certification of the results... Volkswagen will respect the decision of the majority..."

VW will be so sad that they didn't get the cuckold treatment like they have in Germany.

When people realize that unions cash rape them and give nothing in return, common sense can prevail.

It is no coincidence that the demise of unions in the US has also meant a decline in the take home pay by common workers over the years, especially compared to how much more CEOs and Senior Execs are taking home.

It was a neat trick by our plutocracy’s propaganda machine to have workers vote against their own best self-interest. I wish them well with their substandard pay and benefits. And they can forget any sort of retirement pension. It is no wonder that no country in the world wants to emulate our worker/employee benefit system or medical system.

(1) There is not a "demise" of the unions.

(2) Take home pay is down due to ever-increasing taxation.

(3) In your first paragraph you are doing the class warfare BS that Liberals live for so as to divide and conquer.

(4) Fact: the wealthy not only pay more tax as a result of their income, but they are also taxed at a much higher rate.

(5) I'm assuming you'll say that only Republicans are a part of the plutocracy, but kudos to you for throwing out a big word to pretend that you're intelligent.

(6) Conversely, why would we want to emulate socialists? Oh that's right, you let the Democrat cabal tell you how to think and you never question what they shove down you throat.

(7) So, assume that you are donating all the money you make that is in excess of the poverty line to the government to show solidarity, right?

I will challenge your points above.
1) union membership is way down from its peak in the 70s, along with health benefits and pensions.
2) taxes are lower now than during the Clinton administration which was a better economy and a balanced budget.
3) It is nor class warfare - a favorite conservative term - the distribution of wealth is the worst it has been since the 1920s. We know how that ended.
4) the wealthy are taxed at a higher rate, but few pay it with lobbyist creating ever more loopholes.
5) no arguement.
6) It is not socialism to have a fair system, it is good economics.
7) Not this lawless administration.

1-7 are your opinions, not fact.

Afraid chap they are all facts. Your stating it is opinion does not change this unless you can counter with facts, which you cannot. 5 and 7 can be argued are opinions, but the rest are facts backed up by multiple sources.

No they are OPINIONS. Look at the diction of what you wrote. ALL of them are opinions.

With only 400,000 members out of a population of 330M US citizens, the UAW isn't exactly the "force" it is made out to be by some commenters on this website. Time to find a new boogey-man.

Said the Lefty unionized government employee...

That is still 400K too much and this cancer needs to be eradicated

The 400K/330M "data point" would ONLY be valid if all 330M were autoworkers. This is the kind of moronic data that Liberals point to all the time.

The UAW has been it's own worst enemy and effectively killed themselves.

Because the UAW is the sloppy hole money gathering slave for the DNC they have allied themselves with one party. The UAW should NOT be affiliated with either party so as to make BOTH of them work for their votes.

Unions are PARASITES. They are part of the corrupt loop of the Democrat party cash feeding scam. Unions steal money from workers and donate it to the corrupt Democrat socialist party. The Democrat criminals then give orders to the deeply corrupt liberal judges to make legal judgements to favor the unions at the expense of the workers.
Democrat party is actually a criminal syndicate operation.
