SURPRISE! Actually, No, Not Really. Tesla Misses ANOTHER Deadline. Semi Gets PUSHED...
Well, at least Tesla's Elon Musk is consistent.

When the American electric vehicle manufacturer revealed the Semi at a splashy event in 2017, Musk said that the Semi would come to life in 2019. Turns out he was wrong, again.

The latest guidance provided at this week's annual shareholder meeting was the Semi will get pushed back a full year. Expect to see it at the end of 2020.

The funny thing about this shifted date is that it seems no one is actually surprised at this point. It's almost as though whatever Musk says everyone immediately says "Yeah, OK." One may say that his credibility is a problem.

Here's to 2020, Spies!

No experience in building cars and we get Models S/3/X that are deeply flawed.
No experience building pickups and Elon brags that his will be better than an F150 and 911 combined.
No experience building semis, so...

The cars are not deeply flawed, the S and 3 are easily the best in their class and owners love them. X as well, but that is an acquired taste.

The semi is cool (they had one at the investor event), but that and the Roadster are not top priority. I would expect them to even get delayed again if needed. The critical path roadmap is the Y >> Truck >> Semi >> Roadster. Think we'll see the Y and Truck perhaps next year and the Semi and Roadster in 2021.

"...and owners love them." Of course, if you have the poor judgement to pay twice the value of the car you are going to try to justify it.
However, 97 percent of car buyers in the US apparently do not love them as they bought something else.

‘Deeply flawed” cars that beat $$$ multi-million exotics in a race, get 5 star crash tests, handle like an e39 BMW, offer tremendous storage, and 130 mpg-e.

Lol.

Takes 2 months to get repaired, burst into spontaneous combustion, drives into semis with AutoCrash enabled, has rear bumpers that litter the street, are more environmentally hazardous than the ICE equivalent, has a pot head CEO that calls a real hero divers a pedophile and manipulates the stock to burn investors. Put down the crack pipe.

Yup -glad I didn't buy a Tesla and support this moron.

We'll see how ICE cars hold up in value 5 years from now.

So you honestly believe that ICE cars will lose all over their value in 5 years due to EVs? Are you really that ridiculously stupid and illogical?

No, they won't lose all value... but I think they will depreciate FAR faster than ICE cars with the exception of rare collectible cars that will never be made again. Once word really gets out to the masses on cost of ownership and the myths get dispelled, the value of ICE cars will plummet.

Burst into flames, takes hours to recharge, steers into trucks, months for repairs...Gee, where can I get one?
