Study Indicates Young Buyers Still Would Buy A Sedan Over A Crossover
After surveying both car owners and non-owners around the world, between the ages of 18 and 65, Nissan found that the sedan segment is still going strong, especially in the eyes of younger buyers.

Among those who don’t own a sedan, 75% said they would consider buying one either now or in the future. For millennials, that number goes up to 8 in 10, while the number for Gen Z buyers is nearly 7 in 10 (68%).

Thank goodness! Anything to save us from the sea of suv/cuv blobs clogging up the roads.

Eventually kids don't want to drive their father's Oldsmobile.

but in this economy they do end up driving the old family Olds..at least for few years. And then they'll buy something used if they even bother to get a car anyway.

There are actually more than a few people who are dismayed that Ford "won't have a sedan anymore" as they find the equipment packages the 2020 Fusion to be less than ideal.

SUV’s are the station wagons my folks drove in the 70’s. I would not be caught dead in either one. I’m also hoping for a resurrection of the coupes - as they seem to be fading away. SUV’s are hard on their tires and brakes, wonder over all also partly why our roads are crap (pot holes, etc).

WHen I had my Kids - I always had a three row station wagon - sometimes two of them. WHen I needed them - they served the purpose well - Mini-vans do the best of that today with my Grand and Great Grand children. - but there are 3 row Crossovers too - which are basically the same thing as a station wagon - only raised. Small coupes simply don't fill that bill.
