FIRST Real-life Pics Of The 2020 Hyundai Palisade Break — How Do YOU Like It Now?
Over the past year or two we've been closely documenting the rise of full size, seven-seat sport-utility vehicles. This is a segment that continues to pick up steam.

And there's yet another all-new entrant.

Hyundai Palisade

Dubbed the Palisade, this is Hyundai's approach to BIG luxury. Considering what we saw with the Hyundai Equus and Genesis G90, we're feeling pretty comfortable that Hyundai can deliver the goods should it choose.

NOTE: Isn't it funny how Palisade rhymes with Escalade?

Although Agent 001 cannot post driving impressions until early next week, we do have license to post as many pictures from the Palisade's launch this week.

So, get scrolling, Spies!

Let us know what you think of the Palisade!

That's nice

Looks bloated and still a Hyundai so pass.

I think its styling is a bit challenged.

But why did they make the front end so ugly? Very heavy handed.

I'm with you. I don't like the look of the headlights below the "headlights". That horrible trend the ugly Jeep Cherokee ushered in creates odd-looking faces. The French adore it, so you know it's a bad idea.

The Palisade and the Telluride are identical under the skin, so why buy the uglier Palisade would be my question. This is an excellent effort from Hyundai/Kia, but Hyundai got the face wrong. It's fixable with a few minor changes. I'd modify the shape of the grille so that the "headlights" actually are the headlights. I'd also ditch the strange, wrong-facing "brackets" they have for the DRLs.

It looks good and original, not easy with a 2 box design.

It would look just like the Telluride then. They hits the bullseye with the Telluride. That success allows them to take more risks with this design.

Looks very tacky from outside with an assortment of visual effects that don't blend well thrown together...another failed attempt at "aggressive" styling. I can't think of one reason to chose this over the Telluride (besides the inevitable cash on he hood). If I were a Hyundai dealer, I would be pissed...Kia gets a home run and Hyundai gets this dud...this thing will definitely be piling up on dealer lots unless there are significant incentives.

Agree. It tries way too hard to be different and we can see where that took GM when they followed that road to the Aztek.

Kia version looks far better. This looks like a Ford product from the side. You would never guess it is a Hyundai.

Indeed and the Telluride is very GMC. The Telluride looks much large in photos than it does in person. It looks the same size as a Yukon/Suburban but in reality, it's a lot smaller. Similarly, it looks like Hyundai targeted the Expedition on the side.

Abundant copy of Mercedes at the interior... typical Korean

in white or other lighter colors, the exterior looks pretty nice - on the loaded trim version of course. kinda miss dual exhaust - it's still a little smaller than the Tahoe which is cool.

the Telleride & Palisade should've been directly compared to the Traverse/Enclave/Acadia. these are large crossovers not BoF SUV's.

When you compare the Telluride and the new Explorer--it's nice in person--the Chevy Transverse and the Buick Enslave are instantly outclassed. Poor XT6.

GM’s vehicles offer zero value compared to these and Matt’s right the XT6 isn’t even out yet and it’s already done. Styling is subjective as proven by how hideous most Lexus’s are... this and the Telluride will sell very well as they offer tremendous value. You can’t get an interior like that in any GM vehicle for any price. GM IMO will not be what it is today in 5 years.

Someone like Geely or Toyota will buy them.

I really can't unsee this whenever I see the front-end head-on.

It looks really good in white, though. There's a bit too much styling drama going on below the beltline, though it does help break up the blocky design.
