Spy Shots: 2008 Pontiac Torrent

Cheers and Gears has posted an image of a spy shot of the new Pontiac Torrent. By looking at the photo, we can see that it looks extremely similar to the Chevrolet Equinox, with minor changes to the body design. There will be added intakes on the lower fascia and a more aggressive grille. Details such as larger wheels and chromed exterior door handles are also present in the photo. Inside, it will remain much the same as the Pontiac lineup, which is boring bar none. As far as power is concerned, it would be a 3.6-liter V6 with an output of 275 horsepowers, which works in sync with the 5-speed automatic transmission.

I see no reason to select this monstrosity over the Equinox, a crossover much more stylish than any generation of Lexus RX.

My wife currently owns a torrent and I really only see a difference in headlights.... By the way, if you have kids, this vehicle is the perfect alternative to a minivan...

Yea, a light bulb and a new powertrain. It currently is only offered with a 3.4L 6Cyl.
