General Motors has identified the supplier responsible for the automaker's decision to halt production of the Chevrolet Cruze on Monday at its Lordstown, Ohio, assembly plant and is working to resolve the issue quickly.
GM spokespeople declined to identify the supplier or the material that caused the shutdown, which ended production by about 4,500 workers at both the Cruze assembly plant and a neighboring metal stamping plant.
Mock told the Youngstown Vindicator that the problem relates to "material provided by a supplier ... that could impact customer satisfaction with our products."
