This year's 2008 F1 events will be graced by both the SL65 AMG and C63 AMG Estate car. Both AMG vehicles are based on their Mercedes AMG counterparts but will also feature newly developed AMG sport exhaust systems that will let F1 attendees know and hear when there is an emergency on the track just to name a few features. Of course both AMG cars provide very exciting performance figures that will double as safety features on the F1 track.

The SL65 AMG pace car boasts 525hp and a note to sixty in 4.6 seconds, meaning that no emergency is too far for the SL65 to take care of. The C63 AMG on the other hand boasts 457hp and will have the responsibility of following the F1 SL65AMG at its debut at the Grand Prix in Melbourne Australia. If you were at the Geneva Motor Show this week you would have been the first to get a taste of these two vehicles.

Count on the new F1 cars by Mercedes AMG to take care of business on the race track this F1 season. This is AMG's 12th year in providing the Official F1™ Safety Car in addition to providing since 1996 the Official F1™ Medical Car with AMG insignia.
