Well, that's what happened. You asked for more Audi diesels and now Audi's brought them to our shores. For 2014 there will be some more diesel variants for you to choose from.
Now the Q5, A6, A7 and A8 can be had. And if they follow the great success of the A3 and Q7 diesels, that should mean a nice bump in sales for the four rings. Just a reminder, the TDI versions of the A3 and Q7 make up give or take half of their sales.
But what will make them even more astounding to you may be their performance figures. Though the horsepower shouldn't blow your stack, as it produces only 240 horsepower, the diesel motor puts down an asphalt breaking 406 lb.-ft. in the Q7 and A8, and 428 lb.-ft. in the Q5, A6 and A7. That equates to some interesting performance figures when it comes down to the zero to 60 times:
5.5 seconds for the A6 and A7 TDIs
6.4 seconds for the flagship A8 TDI
6.5 seconds for the sure-to-be popular Q5 TDI
7.7 seconds for the big daddy Q7 TDI.
