Having large wheels with normally-sized brakes are quite annoying, appearance-wise, for some people as the end result may prove a laughable matter. However, at the Detroit Auto Show today, the Lincoln C Concept, the smallest Lincoln, has a different arrangement of its braking system.

Usually, the brake rotor is fixed to the wheel hub and the caliper grips the disc from the outer edge, but on the Concept C, the braking surface is fixed on the inside edge of the wheel rim with the caliper wrapping around the inside edge of the rotor.
