Aston Martin's cars are the king of cool, there's no arguing that. But you may be able to argue that they're not the king of performance.

It's a valid point; however, it seems that Aston is working hard to change that.

You don't have to look very far neither. First, the V12 Vantage is a shot in the arm for the marque. Now -- thanks to MotorAuthority -- we've been able to see NEW spy images of what's thought to be the next-generation DBS.

Though MotorAuthority is a bit wishy-washy on if it is a DB9 or DBS, I am saying it now: It's a DBS. Take note of the very aggressive front valence with deeply contoured venting. Then if you click to the side profile images, it's clear the car is sporting a set of carbon ceramic brakes. Its hood has a bit of camouflage/cladding that seems to be covering some venting that could be going on there.

My favorite angle, without hesitation, is the rear third quarter perspective. The taillights clearly are inspired by the flagship One-77, what appears to be an integrated rear spoiler is making a whale tail appearance and MY, MY the new DB is going to be a long, swoopy grand tourer.

**Bonus points for those of you who spotted the heavily tapped up C-Pillar.
