FRANKFURT MOTOR SHOW: 001 Nabs The Latest Leaping Cat - Is It PERFECT or LACKING?

FRANKFURT MOTOR SHOW: 001 Nabs The Latest Leaping Cat - Is It PERFECT or LACKING?
One of the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show's outstanding concepts came from Jaguar. As we've seen the classic, British marque go through a renaissance into a new design direction, it seems that Jaguar may have lost that special quality that made a Jaguar "A Jag."

Maybe it's just me because the all-new XJ has been selling better than ever -- something that can't exactly be said of the older XJ,

Long story short though, although the C-X16 really is a stunning-looking vehicle, it doesn't seem to be breaking new ground. From its side profile it really just looks like a rehashed Aston Martin and those rear lights appear to be a modern interpretation of the DB7. Is that such a bad thing though? Maybe every concept doesn't have to blow people away.

Maybe if Jaguar decides to build the C-X16 though it will stay true to the concept's form and once again Jaguar can sell products based on its classic good looks.

Agent 001. Have you ever seen an E type? compare it's back end and the rear opening glasses to that of cx16. And the overall side profile: again look at the original E type, the original teaser sketches which showed the basic lines on which the drawing of the whole car was inspired is absolutely from the E type's profile. So people like you and others who know nothing of Jaguars and tend to say that the XK and the CX16 is copying ASTONS, should know that jaguar were making such designs even before the DG5, when astons did not have this side profile, in fact aston copied that profile from the E type (i would argue). Even the current XK, to all those people who said the grille is like a taurus, it is actually the oval grille from E type. You guys are confused? Don't be Jaguar is drawing on the framework of design provided by E type. They are not copying anyone. Check out the classic Jaguar models and you'll know. And this car is a sex bombshell. Doesn't matter about the groundbreaking designs, as you guys like to call it, if they all end up looking as ugly as they usually are. Nowadays groundbreaking simply means an ugly looking car. Well i like beautiful cars, and aesthetics that is beautiful to the eye. And i love this car.

Nope but the greenhouse ripped off the 911.
