Hyundai Recalls 200,000 SUVs For Airbag Issues
Hyundai Motor Co. said Friday it is recalling more than 200,000 Veracruz and Sante Fe SUVs over airbags that could fail to deploy.

The recall covers 26,548 2007-08 Hyundai Veracruz and 178,685 model year 2007-08 Santa Fe SUVs.

Hyundai said the clock spring contact assembly for the driver's airbag may be damaged over time, causing the airbag not to deploy in case of a crash.

Hyundai's had nearly 8,000 warranty claims related to the vehicles' clock spring contact assembly - and 16 customer complaints.
