SPIED: FIRST Shots Of The Upcoming Hyundai Sonata Spotted In The Daylight! NEW Details!
Ah, I love checking my inbox and seeing the glorious shots sent in from great, dedicated enthusiasts!

I was going for that whole Apocalypse Now "Ah, I love the smell of napalm in the morning," thing.

Thanks to our friend, Fred Khaz, we've gotten our hands on the latest spy shots of the upcoming Hyundai Elantra. If you recall, this weekend Khaz sent in shots he snapped of the car while traveling in the cover of night.

Well, now that game's over!

In these new shots we're seeing details not seen previously. Though the car's sporting camouflage to keep prying eyes from seeing the full monty, it's clear the auto has a new "face" and hind quarters. Though it's difficult to decipher the proportions exactly, you can see that its greenhouse appears a bit more stretched and taller.

Little detail I noticed: If you closely examine the rear door you'll note that it's a different shape than the current-gen car. In fact, the car — from a side profile — seems to boast a Jaguar XJ quality. Am I wrong here?

Anyhow, check out the GREAT shots submitted by Fred Khaz below!

There is enough of the front end showing to indicate that the next Sonata will have the same face as the new Genesis. I am sure the rest of the design will follow suit.

I'm sure it will sell well and eat even more out of the pie from this segment

Only time will tell how the Sonata will do. It's never really threatened the sales of the top dogs in the segment. Even when the Accord was truly an ugly mutt, it still easily outsold the Sonata. Like many Hyundais, the initial impression was great, but the actual car was about average.
This redesign doesn't look to change much in terms of basic styling, so I'm not sure how much that will help its cause.

Honda sells Accords and Civics with massive incentives to the dealers.

Design already looks a few years old. Oh wait, that's because it is.
I don't see the Sonata eating anything but sh!t.

No incentives mean people will just buy the Jap cars or Fords.
