Chrysler announced today that the 2011 Dodge Challenger will receive its brand new V6 Pentastare engine. According to the manufacturer, the 2011 Challenger will be equipped with a higher horse power version of the 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar capable to deliver 305 hp at 6350 rpm (with 55 more hp than the current 3.5-liter V6) and a maximum torque of 268 lb.ft. at 4800 rpm.
“From day one, our objective with the new Pentastar V-6 engine always was to develop an engine that was capable of producing more than 300 horsepower,” according to Lee. “What we’ve done is adapt proven technologies to this new V-6 engine to bring even more power to Challenger for 2011”.
