It's hard to believe that the 2014 Mercedes-Benz will be able to do a sprint to 60 in 3.9 seconds but when you have a monster V8 producing 577 horsepower, I guess it is pretty reasonable. Oh yeah, it also will feature all-wheel drive too.

Its probably when you hear that the S63 will have 664 lb.-ft. of torque that you realize this thing is going to shred through tires like the Tazmanian Devil.

What is surprising to hear is how much emphasis went into the all-new big-daddy AMG sedan losing weight. That's the kind of talk you hear in, say, a sports car. And, might I add, that the 220 pounds the S lost is A LOT of weight.

While I am sure that the S63 is going to be a helluva product, I still can't get over the interior. And, wow, that steering wheel gets worse looking every single time I see it. I hope an aftermarket manufacturer is building something else much better looking. I just figured out my problem with the inside. It doesn't look like a driver's car.

Though I guess one could make the argument that an S-Class AMG never has been, I would have hope that thought would shift. Particularly when you have a speedshift transmission and you make such a significant effort to shed weight.

That said, what are YOUR thoughts, Spies?
