Revealed today to the public, the Aston Martin CC100 Concept is essentially a birthday gift to themselves as a part of the company’s centenary celebrations. The concept is a tribute to Aston Martin’s 1959 DBR1 racer which was very successful at Le Mans. The concept also sports a two-seat speedster layout typical of classic racing cars and the design hints at a potential future design direction for the company.
Speaking of design, the body work is composed of carbon fiber while the car is powered by a 6.0 liter V12 that is linked to a 6-speed automated manual gearbox. The CC100 Concept can sprint from 0-60 mph in just 4.0 seconds and has a limited top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h).
