In the battle of high-performing mid-engine coupes, there are two cars that square up really close. That would be the Lotus Evora S and Porsche Cayman R.
Both are known for their longstanding motorsports history, focus on driving and good looks; however, they also have their differences.
Take, for example, the Evora S, which is supposed to be a more refined Lotus -- there's only so long you can go riding along in what is essentially a body shell. The Porsche, on the other hand, is a hardcore variant that is geared up for the track.
One thing I noticed in recent drives of both products is that they each have distinct personalities.
With the Porsche everything was very methodical and precise. Although it was a blast it and had me "hooked," it just doesn't lash out at your heart.
The Evora S is a completely different story. While its interior has a somewhat kit-car-like feel to certain components, and had some questionable elements, the car is like a living, breathing being.
Though I'll refrain from giving away the entire details -- stay tuned -- we're a little curious:
Would you rather have the COLD and precise Porsche OR the WARM and unpredictable Evora S?
