If the memo is true, this should be WAY more than a small refresh...the only reason to delay it would be to make much more radical modifications on the 7...

Excuse us here and let us indulge...In the last week, all of the internet has been ablaze because of a few magazines (Autoweek, AutoCar, etc.) talking about a refresh on the 2004 BMW 7-series.HELLO!!!! We told you this in our 10/10/02 newsletter and subsequent issues thereafter!
And the bums don't even give us the credit!
So here's the twist the Spies have found out that these other EXPERTS don't know...BMW may pull a fast one on all of us.
If they do the refresh on the 2004 model, they would be admitting publicly, the 7 body style was not an overwhelming success, as they have been saying it was since its intro.
One way for them to save face, is to unveil the facelift as an "early" 2005 model (Detroit) and say the facelift was planned all along and it's normal, in their product cycle.
