A Motor Trend report, which cited sources, confirmed that Hyundai’s sporty front-drive coupe based on its Veloster concept will debut in the US this January at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show.
Soon after its debut, Hyundai will draw up plans for the new car to race. Before making an appearance at the Paris Motor Show this October, it is expected to appear in Hyundai’s home market of South Korea later this year. The production car is expected to start selling in the US in the fall of 2011 as a 2012 model. This new coupe was actually first showcased as the HND-3 Veloster Concept at the 2007 Seoul Motor Show.
