The newest statistics are out from NHTSA showing some startling results:β€œIn 2005, 66 percent of the passenger vehicle occupants 25 to 34 years old killed in traffic crashes were not using restraints β€” the highest percentage for any age group...and, 68 percent of the pickup truck drivers killed in traffic crashes in 2005 were not using restraints.”
