When he cruised to an unassailable victory in February's season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix, it seemed Max Verstappen's fourth world championship was already wrapped up.
 
The next races were similar, with Verstappen only missing out on victories in Australia and the United States through brake issues in Melbourne and a badly timed safety car in Miami.
 
But since a shock victory at Imola, one of Verstappen's greatest individual performances, wins haven't come easy for the Dutchman as Red Bull's rivals McLaren and Mercedes have closed the gap.
