Although I know the AutoSpies community is exponentially growing outside of the U.S., one thing that remains a constant is that the States gets the shaft when it comes to a lot of cool cars.
The automotive market has been getting better in recent years and further proof of this is Ford, which finally decided to bring over its global products -- I am talking about the Fiesta and Transit Connect. Additionally, the Buick Regal is really a rebadged Opel Insignia, and I dig it.
One brand we don't see though is Citroen. Hell, we don't even get rebadged vehicles from this marque. But when I take a look at the all-new DS5 that was unveiled in Shanghai, I can't help but be intrigued. Especially when I get a good look at its interior.
Am I alone on this one here OR would you want to get a taste of the DS5 too?
Just introduced in Shanghai, the DS5 is funkier, freakier and, well, Frencher than ever, all while bringing the DS line into its most practical application to date. And with Peugeot’s diesel-hybrid drivetrain in which the rear wheels are driven electrically (lowering drivetrain complexity and weight), the DS5 even has a hint of the old-school Citroen creativity in its engineering. Fans of the French car, it’s time to let your freak flags fly...
