Sometimes you just have to wonder if those the good old days were really as good as you remembered.

It is pretty safe to say we with modern day technology we have eclipsed the 60's muscle car era in all out speed.  The 70's and 80's really didn't offer the enthusiast much but a genuine resurgence began in the 90’s.

The Japanese seemed to have spearheaded the trend with cool, yet fun and even affordable models such as the Integra, Civic Si, Sentra R, Miata, 323 turbo, 300Z Twin Turbo, NSX, Supra, MR2, Celica GT, RX8 and Mitsubishi 3000GT.

Were any of these true ground breakers?  Probably a few. But looking at the current selection of sterile Japanese vehicles out there, I have to wonder, where did that magic go?
