It's been like watching a tennis match for the past handful of years. That's how long we've been hearing about General Motors' Cadillac division producing a serious large luxury sedan to go up against the likes of the Audi A8, BMW 7-Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
Considering the S-Class is reigning supreme right now, it looks like Caddy is going to have to put in some serious effort.
One thing about the potential LTS is that from what we've heard it will take some creative license from the Elmiraj big body coupe that was inspired by the Ciel four-door convertible concept. We loved the Ciel, and we dug the Elmiraj, but a bit less than the Ciel if we're honest.
Our friends over at Top Speed imagined what a four-door Elmiraj would look like. Considering the buzz, that seems like a solid idea to us.
That said, we're curious to hear what YOU think: IF Cadillac builds the LTS and it looks THIS good, does it have a fighting shot at nibbling away market share from the other large luxury sedan players?
As of now I actually think Cadillac is making good products; however, there is still some sorting out to be done. We know GM can build a good car — just look at the all-new C7 Corvette — and this may be the company's follow up act. Of course, we'd like to see them build a GREAT volume seller but that's another story.
