In the past week, a number of images have surfaced from both sides of the Atlantic on the next-generation 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK, expected to debut at next March's Geneva Auto Show. Among the most detailed images that have surfaced are those captured by automotivetraveler.com's ace shooter Rich Truesdell who got up close and personal with a lightly cloaked SLK yesterday in Death Valley. What's noteworthy about his shots is that his direct front view of what appears to be the non-AMG version, is evidence of an intercooler, indicating that there will be a turbocharged version of the 3.5-liter V6 available.

His blog gives four more photos and additional details on the expected lineup that is scheduled to appear in showrooms about this time next summer.
