Back at this year's New York Auto Show there was one concept that stood out to us. Granted, it was a pretty weak show.
That would be the Land Rover Discovery Sport.
Looking way more fluid than Discovery models of the past — they're really just boxes with windows — and featuring an interior that seemed to be inspired by the Tesla Model S' center stack, we were impressed. Now that the production model is undergoing testing and development, we were hoping the first interior shots would depict a center stack as seen in the concept.
Well, time to get disappointed! That's because it won't make it. Sorry, folks! Though the full center stack screen has been axed, if you take a look at the photos, you'll note that there is a large screen sitting atop the center stack. Unlike what we've seen from Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz, this screen looks integrated into the dash instead of the iPad look.
Let us know if you're disappointed or if you're digging where this is headed, below!

The interior of the new Land Rover Discovery Sport has been spied as the model continues final development testing ahead of a planned launch at the Paris motor show in October.
Currently in final testing at the Nürburgring, these latest spy pictures show the interior of the new model will remain familiar to current Land Rover owners. Featuring premium leather trim on this mule, the cabin comes with Jaguar Land Rover's touch-screen infotainment system mounted high on the centre console.
