At first glance this may appear to be a run of the mill 599, if there is even such a thing. But, upon closer inspection you will quickly notice that things are not quite normal.
As pointed out by Autocar, this vehicle is wearing tape at the A-pillar and on the rear of the roof section.
Here's where things will get interesting:
How will Ferrari build the 599 Spider?
Like the California -- with a folding hardtop -- OR like the old-school 550 Barchetta -- that had a joke of a softtop -- OR the 575 SuperAmerica -- with its unique flip-up glass roof?
This is the first picture of the Ferrari 599 Spider, caught testing near the Ferrari factory in Maranello.
The car is sporting a very light disguise, but its identity is given away by tape on top of the A-pillars covering joints for the removable top.
Its flying buttress C-pillars also do not extend down cleanly onto the rear quarters, while there also appears to be more tape at the rear of the roof section.
The Ferrari 599 Spider was only confirmed to Autocar last week by the firm’s president Luca di Montezemolo....
