If there's one thing I love, it's when Spies from all over the globe send in images they snapped while on the road. As usual, our man Fred Khaz came through with some all-new photos that are leaving me, frankly, a bit puzzled.
Snapped by Khaz's friend Lee, he wrote to us that it looked as though it could be a BMW X2 or some sort of 2-Series variant.
Now if you ask me, I think it's actually not that at all. Just look at the scale and how it appears in relation to other vehicles. Actually, I think it may be some sort of all-new BMW X5 variant. The details and proportions scream X5 and it seems that BMW has been working on plug-ins as of late. Could it be a plug-in X5? It's possible.
But it's also just as likely BMW is just doing extra durability testing of the already launched vehicle.
It was spotted on the Pacific Coast Highway in what Khaz describes as "HB." I am guessing this would be Huntington Beach.
