So if you were one of the skeptics looking at the 2012 Nissan GT-R asking what were the big differences over the pre-refresh model, it can be summed up in about a half second.

Well, that's how much faster the 2012 GT-R is said to sprint. That means we're talking about a 3.0 second 0-62 mph time.

Although I know that's not the best indicator of a performance vehicle but that's a helluva start. By the way, has anyone heard anything from Stuttgart lately? Something tells me Porsche may be a bit disturbed by this news.


When we reported on the 2012MY Nissan GT-R, we were wondering how the added power would affect the Japanese sports car's acceleration times. Well, the wait is over as Nissan announced today that the facelifted GT-R with the tweaked 530HP twin-turbocharged V6 completes the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint in just 3.0 seconds, or a whopping 0.5 seconds faster than the 485 hp version...
