Yes, I'll come clean.
I adore sports cars.
Unfortunately for me, I am 6'8 and that means that I typically find myself squeezing into vehicles far too small for my stature. Agent 001 and I have even made bets as to whether or not I'll fit into certain vehicles.
One tight squeeze was the Mercedes-AMG GT S. It was worth it though. The thing is an animal.
So, you can only imagine my excitement when I spotted the vintage-inspired coupe getting a harder-edged sibling. Called the GT R, it has been nicknamed the "Beast of the Green Hell." Weird given the Nissan GT-R has done a pretty good job sealing up that role.
Anyway, in this all-new spy clip coming to us from abroad, an AMG GT R is whipping around the Nürburgring essentially going flat out. Do I really need to say more? Enjoy!
This video features a full black Mercedes-AMG GT R going flatout on the Nürburgring, Nordschleife. This 'Beast of the Green Hell' is powered by a brand new AMG’s 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 585HP for a zero to 100 km/h (62mph) run in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 318 km/h (198mph).
