I have to say while many folks were particularly keen on the Bugatti Veyron, it didn't really do much for me. It was a rather bland looking vehicle that had what sounded like a truck motor.
But, boy, did it move. With a zero to 60 time of about 2.5 seconds, it was a proper supercar. I think it may be the reason why people invented the phraseology "hypercar."
Personally, I think that's dumb. But, that's a story for another day.
Now we have the all-new Veyron replacement. Dubbed the Chiron, it is another monster Volkswagen experiment that's been branded as a Bugatti. Now making nearly 1,500 horsepower and nearly 1,200 lb.-ft. of torque, it's raising the bar yet again.
While we've seen a lot of it in images, we haven't seen it in action. Well, that changes today.
Watch below as a gent from CarThrottle gets an exclusive opportunity for a ride along with Bugatti's CEO behind the wheel at the Nürburgring. As it's a 13-minute clip there's plenty of geeking out on the front end.
Enjoy!
