In recent weeks there's been a tremendous amount of news coming from Korea — both North and South. And, as of yesterday, it seems that the always unstable peninsula may be headed for something sort of unexpected.
Peace.
If you woke up early yesterday morning you were likely tuning into footage of the summit, which will lead to President Trump's meeting with the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un. One piece of footage that seems to keep getting replayed is the video of Kim's armored Mercedes-Benz S-Class limo chauffeuring him to his next point with a slew of bodyguards running around the vehicle.
I am not sure if there's any practical reason for it aside from being a show of force.
Is it just me or is it strangely satisfying to watch the team run around the vehicle in unison?
Oh, and then there's this interesting fact:
...There are likely to be other special arrangements made for Kim — and his bodily functions.
“Rather than using a public restroom, the leader of North Korea has a personal toilet that follows him around when he travels,” said Lee Yun-keol, who worked in a North Korean Guard Command unit before coming to South Korea in 2005.
“The leader’s excretions contain information about his health status so they can’t be left behind,” Lee said...
This show only gets more and more interesting by the day.
