Depending on who you ask, everyone has a different belief about Tesla. It's a bit all over the map.
Some folks stick to their guns by saying "It's not a luxury brand.'
Others exclaim that the EV manufacturer isn't conquesting sales from the likes of German automakers.
And others just simply downright hate Elon Musk's creation. There's no genuine justification.
That's all fine and well, however, at the end of the day all of the above is plain 'ol wrong. If you want some anecdotal proof, well, then I've got it for you.
On Saturday I took one of my beloved family members car shopping. Although they currently have a new X5, which is complemented by a 330i that's due for its lease return in May, Tesla has been looming in their mind. As they said, "I think I want to try something different."
They've been a BMW owner for multiple generations now.
Upon parking my M340i press vehicle for the week I noticed something pretty funny. The lineup of vehicles parked in the customer spaces was varied.
You had a Porsche Cayman, our M340i, a Chevrolet Sonic, an Audi A3 convertible, an Infiniti QX60 and a Subaru Crosstrek.
What does THAT tell you, Spies?
