Hyundai is getting ready to launch a hot N version of its family-friendly Ioniq 5 and the car’s pure-electric powertrain could give it supercar-rivalling performance. The Korean firm has revealed that the Ioniq 5 N will use technology lifted from the N Vision 74 and RN22e concept cars.
Hyundai’s N division has grown rapidly in recent years thanks to the excellent i20 N and i30 N hot hatches. But while those two cars feature turbocharged, four-cylinder engines, the new Ioniq 5 N SUV will be the first pure-electric N model from the brand.
