The Canadian auto market was up 2.0% in 2006. Big gains were seen by Mercedes-Benz, Saab, and BMW amongst others. GM was down, Ford was up, and DaimlerChrysler barely moved.

Domestics lost market share (they now sit at 53.6%) while import nameplates rose 6.6% to 46.4% of the Canadian market.
