the media has been abuzz with news of the electric vehicle (EV) revolution. Numerous reports surfaced, touting the unprecedented demand for EVs, often claiming that these vehicles were selling out within days and that eager customers were facing years-long waiting lists. However, in a surprising twist, it seems that the narrative has taken a sudden U-turn. Inventories of EVs are now piling up, languishing in showrooms, leaving us to question why media outlets hyped up the EV frenzy with what now appears to be inaccurate information.

In other words, FAKE NEWS!

In the race to embrace electric mobility, media outlets played a significant role in creating hype around the popularity of EVs. They latched onto the narrative of high demand and exaggerated waiting lists, fueling a sense of urgency among consumers. Countless articles and news segments showcased the seemingly insatiable appetite for electric vehicles, painting a picture of scarcity that forced buyers into a frenzy.

It is plausible that media outlets were simply caught up in the fervor of the EV revolution and did not critically analyze the situation. However, this does not absolve them of the responsibility to present accurate and balanced information to their audiences.

Turns out we were the ONLY major outlet to tell you the hype was FAKE. And all driven by progressive zealots in media and a suspect speculators market.

The EV hype that dominated media outlets, with headlines proclaiming sold-out waiting lists and insatiable demand, has been met with an unexpected twist as inventories of electric vehicles pile up unsold. While we cannot attribute all the blame to media outlets, it is essential for them to reflect on the accuracy of their reporting and the potential consequences of hyping a narrative without thorough analysis. As we continue to navigate the EV revolution, it is imperative that media outlets strive for responsible journalism, promoting transparency and presenting a nuanced view of the industry to provide consumers with the information they need to make informed decisions.

And there SHOULD be consequences. Tell us, what should they be?
