Oakland police responded to a sideshow activity and established a perimeter of several blocks around it. A vehicle was set ablaze while parked on 10th street next to the building housing Crash Champions Collision Repair. Spectators watched as the car burned, and a masked individual was observed entering a Subaru, which he then used to ram the burning vehicle.

The masked driver repeatedly crashed into the burning car as onlookers recorded the scene on their cellphones. Shortly after, police dispersed the crowd by deploying flash bangs near the burning vehicle. Additionally, fireworks were set off in the vicinity of the intersection.

Once the crowd was dispersed, Oakland Fire units arrived at the scene and extinguished the flames that had spread to the abandoned Subaru. A witness reported that some sideshow spectators had thrown bottles at the police, leading to the authorities using tear gas.

The incident occurred in May 2023 but incidents like this are becoming commonplace in big cities across America.
