Some Tesla Cybertruck owners are reporting that the stainless steel body is developing rust marks after short periods of exposure to condensation.
These owners posted their complaints on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum. One of these buyers, who goes by the name Raxar, reports that Tesla is aware of the issue: "The advisor specifically mentioned the Cybertrucks develop orange rust marks in the rain, and that required the vehicle to be buffed out." It's unclear if the advisor offered to rectify the issue or was instructing the customer to buff the vehicle themself.
What's alarming about this situation is that the marks appeared just two days after picking up the unit in California, and it's not an isolated incident.
