A recent study by AutoPacific found that people who own electric vehicles (EVs) or are thinking about getting one want public charging stations to be more like gas stations. AutoPacific surveyed over 7,200 EV owners and potential buyers to understand what they want in a good charging experience.

These EV owners and potential buyers said they want clear signs showing how fast the charging is and how much it costs. They also want the charging location to be well-lit and covered, with additional amenities like Wi-Fi and basic services for their vehicles, such as windshield cleaner and air pumps for tires.

The study showed that over 86 percent of both EV owners and potential buyers think clear signs and well-lit, covered chargers are important features for public charging stations.
